Webster’s English Dictionary (1913)

Noah Webster, the illustrious American lexicographer, published his first dictionary in 1806 and several more during the following three decades. After his death, his work was revised and supplemented, and a 1913 edition called Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary is now coming to Mac OS X as an integrated part of the built-in Dictionary application. A century after its initial publication, Webster’s 1913 edition usefully complements the default OS X dictionary with etymologies, literary quotes and encyclopædic information.
